Emma Watson is headed back to the big screen.

In a big and exciting way!

The beloved former Harry Potter star has confirmed via Facebook that she’ll be starring as Belle in a live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast.

The 24-year-old star will be directed by Bill Condon (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Dreamgirls) in a script penned by Stephen Chbosky, who directed her in his The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Oh, and she’ll be singing for the first time on camera!

"I’m finally able to tell you… that I will be playing Belle in Disney’s new live-action Beauty and the Beast!" Watson wrote on Facebook today. "It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I’ll get to dance to Be Our Guest and sing Something There."

Watson – who serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for U.N. Women; is a Brown University graduate; and who should be the role model for all young celebrities – went on to add of the role:

"My six year old self is on the ceiling – heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it. Emma xx."

We can’t wait either. Who out there does not adore Emma Watson?!?
