When Criminal Minds Season 10 Episode 6 got underway, a pair of lovers find a dead man beside his car, cell phone in his mouth and alarm going off.
That will set the eerie tone for the dark CBS drama in a hurry right there.
The BAU learns that the victim in the car was Douglas Clark, that the phone’s alarm was set for midnight, he was stabbed at least 12 times, and he was gay.
Clark’s gay partner tells the BAU he wasn’t "out" and didn’t want to be.
A second man, Kevin Brubaker, is killed in chillingly similar fashion.
Brubaker had apparently recorded his straight sexual liaisons without his partners’ knowledge, while both dead men had puncture wounds to the neck.
JJ discerns that a stiletto heel did the deed, and the Unsub is female.
Kate tells one of the recipients of a porn video Brubaker sent him that these are underage girls and he’s complicit in a sex crime. They were of age.
She merely deceived him in order to get him to talk, and it worked.
The Unsub meets a third man, takes him home, ties him to the bed, puts ashes on her face, comes back into the room and stabs him to death brutally.

Rossi and Morgan find the third victim with a watch – no phone – in his mouth, with the alarm set for midnight. The profile of the Unsub begins to come together.
She may be killing men looking for sex as payback for an incident in which she was the victim, appointing herself the judge and the executioner of sorts.
A dry cleaning store owner figures out that the Unsub, Claire, is stealing some of his customers’ clothes and decides to terminate her from her employment.
The Unsub shows up at a bar, meets another guy, who wants to have sex with her, and realizing he is no Prince Charming, she kills him with a stiletto shoe.
The dry cleaner’s son shows up at the Unsub’s house the next day to fire her, but gives her a ride to the cemetery to put flowers on her father’s grave.
At the cemetery, with the BAU hot on her trail, Claire Rawley attacks the cleaners son with a flower pot until the team arrives with a plan to subdue her.
With JJ trained on her, Reid pretends to be Prince Charming, acting out a Cinderella story by placing a shoe on her foot and kissing the Unsub’s hand.
