After a ten-month engagement, it’s officially over between Ben Foster and Robin Wright.
Sources say Wright called it quits as a result of Foster’s “immaturity.”
“She got swept up in the engagement last Christmas,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “But then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn’t the right decision.”
“The gap just ended up being too much,” the source says, referring to the couple’s 14-year age difference. “Ben was kind of immature, she couldn’t deal with him anymore.”
48-year-old Robin is best known for her role on the Netflix series House of Cards. 34-year-old Ben is mostly recognized for his work as a character actor in films such as X-Men: The Last Stand and 3:10 to Yuma.
The couple met while filming the 2011 film Rampart. They began formally dating in 2012.
It would have been the first marriage for Foster and the third for Wright, who was previously married to actor Sean Penn for 13 years.
Following their split, Penn declared that marriage is a “fraud” in an interview, so we can assume that one didn’t end well.
Sources say Wright’s split from Foster was also not an amicable one, and it’s believed that he recently cheated on her while he was living in London and she was in LA.
