There's trouble on the set of Fifty Shades of Grey, and we're not talking about the good kind of trouble that involves whips, chains and the like.
No, it seems the latest not-so-sexy danger is that the movie might not titillate audiences the way the book did as a result of some serious casting problems.
Sources on set say that a noticeable lack of chemistry between stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson has led to some incredibly bland sex scenes.
"Dakota isn't coming off sexy enough," says one 50 Shades insider.
"No one should question the heat or intensity of our actors."
But producers are, and as a result, the actors have been called back to the set for re-shoots just four months before the film is scheduled to hit theaters.
Some insiders involved with the production reportedly believe, however, that at this point, it's most likely a case of too little, too late.
Meanwhile, the man who stepped into the role of Christian Grey after Charlie Hunnam quit the film has reportedly been exceeding expectations.
One of the projects screenwriter's has already said (somewhat hilariously) that she believes Dornan deserves an Oscar for his work on Grey.
So the burden is squarely on Johnson's shoulders, and the stakes couldn't be higher.
"They want to do sequels, so this has to be perfect," says one insider.
Nothing to put you in the mood to get down and dirty like a giant film crew watching AND the threat of torpedoing your career and a potential billion-dollar film franchise.
