19 Kids and Counting star Jill Duggar’s baby bump is starting to materialize, albeit slightly, but at 12 weeks, she’s still quite early in her first pregnancy.
A pregnancy that she’s been documenting publicly since the very beginning.
With this Instagram photo Wednesday, Jill showed off her changing body.
“Had our 12 wk midwife appt yesterday! #babydilly #jillmdillard #derickdillard #blessedparents,” Jill, a midwife in training herself, captioned the pic.
Husband Derick Dillard posted an earlier photo collage of his wife September 5, showing her progress at five weeks, five days and then at 11 weeks, two days.
The first-time father-to-be wrote:
“By the end of next week, all of our baby’s body parts, from tooth buds to toenails, will be developing! #firsttrimesterprogression #babydilly #19kidsandcounting.”

Duggar, 23, who took three pregnancy tests before she got a positive result, recently delved into why she announced her pregnancy to the public so early.
The duo is well aware, they say, that the “majority of miscarriages happen within the first trimester,” which is why many couples wait to break the news.
However, “believing that every life is precious no matter how young, we decided to share our joyful news as soon as we could,” the reality star said.
“We knew that we weren’t going to prevent having children, so when we found out we were expecting within our first month of marriage, we were thrilled!”
The newlyweds will welcome their firstborn in March, and not shocking as a child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, she’s already thinking more:
“Although Derick comes from a family with just one brother, both of us would love to have as many children as God will give us,” Jill Duggar said.
