Alicia Keys is making a plea for world peace.
By taking her clothes off.
The singer has joined many other celebrities (such as Demi Moore, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears) by posing in her birthday suit while exposing her baby bump… but Keys is doing is for a very different reason than most.
With a peace sign painted on her belly, Keys is featured in a New York Times article by Nicholas Kristof; it outlines the singer’s hope to “gather an army” of her fans in support of 12 specific organizations.

“It’s you and me on a mission to create a kinder and more peaceful world. The #WeAreHere Movement begins today,” Keys wrote as a caption when posting the same image to Instagram.
She went on to thank Kristof for sharing his “bright voice” and she donated $1 million of her own money to a dozen different charities.
The groups cover a wide range of important causes, from racial inequality to the empowerment of high school students to education for girls around the globe.
Keys and husband Swizz Beatz announced her pregnancy on their wedding anniversary in July and are expecting their second child in December.
Kristof says that the star’s idea for “the movement arises partly from her concern about the world that the child will inherit,” as well as answering the question “Why are we here?”
Seeking important answers and pushing for a peaceful agenda through nudity? We love it. And we hope you’re listening, Megan Fox.
