Anna Kendrick, the girl next door whom everyone wishes they were friends with, dating, or married to, graces the July cover of Elle magazine.
Looking gorgeous sitting poolside, the 28-year-old downplays her sex appeal, claiming she has not been hit on since her breakout role in 2009’s Up in the Air.
In other words, guys are idiots.
She insists this fact is “honest to God” true; she and former boyfriend Edgar Wright broke up last year, and since she’s kept a low profile, dating-wise.
All the while, she’s continually proven herself as talented, hilarious and down-to-earth as they come in show business, a rare combination for a celebrity.
She also stays grounded even as the world clearly sees her as the bombshell she’s become.
“When I was a teenager, I was an ultra-late bloomer,” says the star, who stands barely 5′.
“My mom would say it was a blessing, because it means you never have to wonder if guys are only interested in you because you’ve got boobs.”
“I would have been thrilled if guys were interested in me because of my boobs!”
