Ain’t nothin’ gonna hold her down! Not 50 pounds of butter and not a career-crushing scandal!

Paula Deen is back! (At least in her mind.)

The celebrity chef is kicking off a 20-city live show tour this summer with stops so far planned for Savannah, Atlanta, Nashville, and San Antonio. The show will feature a live cooking demonstration, butter, musical chairs, butter, an audience-participation dating game, and more butter.

“That’s the excitement of it all — my fans get to be part of the show,” Deen said.

Paula Deen Dances

Deen’s comeback attempt is nearly a year after her career was nearly ended following allegations of racism in the restaurants she owned and her own admission of using a racial slur.

Deen apologized on both the Today show and in People Magazine, and in the same interview compared herself to football player Michael Sam who came out as gay in 2013.

“I feel like ’embattled’ or ‘disgraced’ will always follow my name. It’s like that black football player who recently came out,” she said.

“He said, ‘I just want to be known as a football player. I don’t want to be known as a gay football player.’ I know exactly what he’s saying.”

Because nothing says “I get it” like comparing your privileged white self to a gay football player who also happens to be black.

Oh, Paula.
