Free at last from the shackles of the “character” he played on The Bachelor, Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell are enjoying their “real” life alright.
The duo enjoyed a low-key night out at Budare Bistro in Miami, Fla., Tuesday, and Ferrell documented their first “real” one-on-one date on Instagram.
“On our first REAL one on one date!” she captioned the pic below. “So good.”
The 26-year-old pediatric nurse and the 32-year-old Venezuelan former soccer pro arrived at the restaurant after 10 p.m. and “kept to themselves,” a source said.
On the menu that night? A dish best served cold … or something. #FAIL
No seriously: Pepito (meat with sauce, cheese, and potato sticks), tequenos (fried bread sticks with cheese), and cachapas (thick pancakes made with sweet corn and cheese).
Unlike what Juan Pablo said to Clare Crawley, or to Andi Dorfman, or about gay people earlier this year, that won’t leave a bad taste in your mouth!
“He looked like he was having a great time with his girlfriend,” an onlooker said of The Bachelor stars’ “first date”. “They seemed happy together. He’s a nice guy.”
Despite the hissy fit he threw during and after The Bachelor: After the Final Rose special, when he insisted he’s DONE with this BS, they’ve been active online.
The couple have been posting pretty frequently since the season finale on March 10, mostly and not so subtly in defense of their criticized relationship.
Though Galavis chose Nikki Ferrell in the finale, he said he wasn’t ready to propose. He has also yet to say he loves her, though she’s said it to him multiple times.
Galavis, for his part, said on After the Final Rose that they just want to live their lives privately, a sentiment he reiterated via Twitter on March 12.
“LOVE how @Nikki_Ferrell and I made UP tweets that we WANT to say and we LAUGH at them cause we DON’T write them because we are PRIVATE. Jaja.”
Oooh, you got us.
So private are Juan Pablo and Nikki that he posted a YouTube video tribute to his girlfriend … not unlike the one he made for baby mama Carla Rodriguez in ’09.
Hey, we wish them the best. But we gotta ask …
Juan Pablo and Nikki: Will they last?
