Here we go again. Rihanna reportedly paid a visit to troubled ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in rehab this winter, and Karrueche Tran dumped him as a result.
The on-again, off-again love triangle erupted into fireworks once again after Rih flew on a private plane to see her former boo at a Malibu rehab center.
Chris Brown is taking part in court-ordered anger management and drug recovery there, having been diagnosed with PTSD and bipolar disorder.
He entered the program in November and was ordered to complete an additional two months in late February, in lieu of jail time for violating probation.
Chris sought help after getting arrested for assault in D.C., after which his probation – for beating the crap out of Rihanna in 2009 – was revoked.
Their violent history, combined with the fact that Rihanna and Drake are reportedly an item now, makes her visit to see Chris in rehab all the more amazing.
Not that it was a prolonged, romantic trip. She reportedly spent a few hours with Brown and then jetted out quickly, with only a few staffers knowing about it.
But when she learned of the hush-hush Malibu visit from Rihanna, Karrueche Tran blew a gasket and dumped the R&B star, according to reports.
After all she’s done for him in the past few years, this was the last straw.
“With Chris in rehab, [he] and Karrueche spoke every day and she stood by his side,” a source explains to the New York Daily News. “She trusts Chris.”
“But when it comes to Rihanna, [Karrueche] has a zero-tolerance policy.”
The insider says the back and forth between Karrueche and Rihanna over Brown has caused the model to downright despise the pop superstar.
Also, when she learned Rihanna visited Chris, he at first denied it.
“She believed him, but he finally admitted that Rihanna had come to see him. She put her foot down and has cut him off completely,” the source.
Tran has not commented on the breakup in any sort of detail, but she recently seemed to confirm it when she tweeted : “Not dating anyone stop w the bs.”
As for Rihanna and Drake, another ex whom she has been spotted with recently, they’re supposedly now “best friends” … who have been traveling together.
