There have been some outstanding animal photobombs throughout 2013.
But the following may take the dangerous cake.
During a recent trip to California’s Manhattan Beach, June Emerson snapped a picture of her 12-year old son and his friend on a boogie board… with an unexpected guest popping up in the background to say hello.

Fortunately, that’s all the shark said, as Emerson confirms neither child was harmed during their play time at sea.
“It was quite a shock to see,” June told KTLA. “Many local surfers and lifeguards have seen this and believe it to be a shark … Of course, I told my kids it was dolphin, as we live at the beach and are in the waters here almost daily.”
Probably a good call. And this remains only the second scariest photobomb of the year, trailing this shot of a shirtless dude strolling in front of a wedding party.
