A few days after settling a new custody issue with ex-wife Tameka Raymond, Usher received more good news today:

His five-year old son has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Usher Raymond V – the artist’s oldest son with Tameka, who nearly drowned last Monday – “is going to be just fine,” a source tells People. “Doctors were taking every precaution to make sure Cinco was okay, but the danger looks like it has passed.”

The days following this accident were filled with drama for Usher, as he dealt with his rehabbing child and also an angry ex.

Tameka was concerned over how often Usher leaves their son in the care of others – specifically, his aunt – and filed for an emergency hearing in which she argued for a change in custody.

But after an day of emotional testimony on August 9, a judge dismissed the case, leaving the singer with primary custody of little Usher and his brother.

The exes did embrace in court, however, proving that there’s still a parental connection that cannot be denied.

We hope everyone involves learns from this experience and, most importantly, that the children remain unharmed, physically and emotionally.
