Add Matt Bomer to the list of stars who have shown public support for Wentworth Miller.
The White Collar star, who came out as gay in a speech last February, was asked about the Prison Break actor’s public reveal this week and told E! News:
“I think its really bold and incredibly classy how he came out and did it. I am really proud of him. It’s very reflective of his amazing character.”
Miller took an unusual and impressive tact in making his announcement a couple days ago, posting the letter he sent to the head of a Russian film festival on the GLADD website and openly decrying that nation’s new, anti-homosexual legislation.
He, of course, also mentioned in the missive that he’s a gay man.
Along with praising Miller,, Bomer acknowledged the numerous positive legal changes happening for the LGBT community across the country, while also aiming a lot higher:
“I hope all these laws continue to pass but we still have a long way to go.”
