Syndey Leathers, the woman revealed as NYC mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner's sexting partner, says she's disgusted by the man she once cared for.
In an interview with Inside Edition, the 23-year-old was brought to tears as she addressed Weiner, who she claims told her in the past that he loved her.
"I cared about him a lot, he was very important to me," Sydney Leathers said. "Just stop lying, stop embarrassing [your] wife, and get help."
To his wife, Huma Abedin, Leathers said remorsefully, "I am extremely sorry for my part in the hurt and pain that she's obviously feeling right now."
Like many, Sydney tuned into his press conference where the embattled Democratic politician publicly addressed and apologized for his indiscretions.
Having infamously resigned from the U.S. House in mid-2011 over similar antics, the 48-year-old kept sexting girls until at least July 2012.
He recently launched his political comeback bid and is/was considered a strong candidate in New York City's mayoral election this year.
"It literally disgusts me. It makes me feel physically ill," she said. "I've barely been able to eat since all of this happened. I feel sick about it."
"I'm disgusted by him. He's not who I thought he was."
That's an interesting comment, because in addition to sending Anthony Weiner nude photos, the ex-Congressman once described himself to her as:
"An argumentative, perpetually horny middle-aged man."
Sounds about right, but she still feels devastated now.
"I feel embarrassed," Sydney Leathers explained. "I wish I could go back and change it, but I know that I can't so I just have to live with it."
"It was how I felt at the time, and how he felt at the time."
We can imagine how he felt at the time ...
