Lea Michele has spoken out publicly for the first time since Cory Monteith died of a drug overdose on July 13.

Having previously thanked fans for their support in a statement through her publicist, the Glee star took to Twitter today and once again addressed followers and loved ones, writing:

“Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart.”

Michele also included the following image with her message:

Monteith has been cremated and Michele was joined by fellow cast members for a private memorial last Thursday.

Production on Glee Season 5, meanwhile, will soon get underway.
