The 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards were handed out Sunday, and everything went according to script until a stunning upset at the very end.

Luke Bryan won Entertainer of the Year, to the surprise of everyone.

In a turn of events few would have predicted because of his relatively recent move into the spotlight. Bryan immediately became the event’s top story.
