Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry were back in court today, but unlike previous before a judge, they left having nearly finalized a custody settlement.

In a sign that their custody battle may end, Judge Mark Juhas told Gabriel and his camp, “We’re making huge progress. We need to stick with it.”

Halle and her lawyers, Neal Hersh and Judy Bogen, went into chambers to talk with the judge. Before that, Gabriel and his lawyers did the same.

A settlement conference over Nahla’s custody and visitation is what brought them to court. The major stumbling block has been Halle’s schedule.

This takes her out of town from time to time, obviously. From what happened this AM, it looks like Halle and Gabriel are on the verge of a truce.

That’s a far cry from a few short months ago, when the two clashed publicly and harshly over not just custody, but their daughter’s race.

Here’s hoping this is settled amicably and quickly for her sake.
