You don’t hear this very often, but The Real Housewives of New York City want to be more like Snooki.
No, they aren’t hoping to fall over drunk and get arrested. Nor will they spend more time tanning than sleeping. Instead, Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Alex McCord just want a raise.
“The ladies are upset because they are making a lot less than Snooki [who earns $30,000 per episode on MTV]. They’ve got a lot more to say,” a source told The New York Post, adding that the ladies make about $4,000/week these days and, therefore, “have little choice but to pimp themselves out with side gigs to bump up their earnings.”
Bensimon has already been asked back for a new season, but Zarin says her status is unknown. Bethenny Frankel, meanwhile, announced her resignation this week.
“It’s a full-time job without the full-time pay. That’s why a reality star with any sense does a book line or jewelry line to support being on the show.”
Excuse us for a few moments while we get out our violins. This poor, poor women and their lack of seven-figure incomes.
