Bret Michaels needs your best wishes once again.
A few months after overcoming a brain hemorrhage, the rocker has scheduled heart surgery for January. Says his rep: “It’s for the hole his heart. I don’t know any specifics.”
Fortunately, this ailment has been with Michaels for years and is not life-threatening.
During treatment for a stroke this summer, doctors discovered that Bret had a “patent foramen ovale,” something that went unnoticed since his birth and which is “operable and treatable.”
The singer’s next project is an autobiography titled “Roses & Thorns: The Reality of My Rock & Roll Fantasy. It comes out in March and Michaels’ publicist expects his client to be fully recovered by then, saying:
“The next thing he has is his book tour [beginning] March 15, on his birthday. After the holidays, he’ll do this and then have time to heal before the whole book publicity campaign.”
