Simon Monjack has been buried next to Brittany Murphy following a service attended by 75 friends and family members at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in L.A.

“It was Simon’s wish to be laid to rest next to her,” said family spokesman Roger Neal at the private orthodox Jewish service. Monjack died on Sunday night.

The got to be together one last time as a rendition of Murphy singing a rendition of “Smile,” featuring Simon Monjack on the piano, was played to mourners.

A photo of the couple also sat on Monjack’s casket.

Tragically and appropriately, Simon and Brittany are together again.

“Sharon (Brittany’s mom) was strong and spoke at the service about how much she loved Simon, and how now Simon and Brittany are together,” added Neal.

“She told them, ‘I’ll miss you my babies.’ She is understandably feeling devastated by the loss of a daughter and a son-in-law in the space of six months.”

Monjack died in the house he shared with Murphy and her mother, who called 911 after finding both of them unconscious in the same room, months apart.

The preliminary cause of death for Simon has been listed as natural causes, not a drug overdose, though the L.A. Coroner’s office is conducting an autopsy.

Rest in peace, Simon and Brittany.
