She’s already a reality star, a PR person for a well-known New York firm and celebrity fashion designer, but Whitney Port is not about to rest on her laurels.

She’s adding author to her resume, too.

The MTV star, who starred on The Hills before moving to New York to star in The City, will pen a book called … wait for it … True Whit. It’s due out in 2011.

A “conversational, fun, and candid guide for girls looking to start out [in life] with style,” she plans to write personal stories, and advice for young women.

No clue who would buy that, but you could do worse, we suppose. Would you want your daughter taking life advice from Whit or Heidi Montag? Exactly.

Whitney Port knows how to express herself.

“Being a twenty-something can be a difficult phase,” says 25-year-old Whitney Port. “There are so many questions, and I wanted to write about my experiences.”

It could be of use to “anyone who needs help navigating through life.”

Among the serious, pressing topics to be covered? Getting rid of puffy eyes, dressing for a date, decorating a tiny apartment, and hosting some killer parties.

Adds the star of The City, which returns tomorrow night: “It’s a how-to-guide where I share anecdotes that I’ve learned from both work and my personal life.”
