This is all your fault, people.
We really don’t wanna keep writing about Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin, as these below-average parents seem more interested in attention than their children these days.
But there’s clearly interest in this couple, as 9.8 million people tuned in for Monday night’s fifth season premiere; that’s twice as many viewers as the show’s previous high, and more than the number that watched this year’s Lost finale. Sheesh!

So, what’s the latest on Kate, who complained on the episode that her life was “just so hard,” due to the media and pressure on her marriage.
(To which The Baltimore Sun‘s David Zurawik aptly replied: “Is it really, Kate? Tell that to a family in which the breadwinner has just lost her or his job, you silly, self-absorbed fool.”)
According to David Rothermel, Jon’s former employer at Style Craft Corp, his wife had him on an allowance; a miniscule one, at that.
“She used to give him only $5 to spend, and if he was out and needed more money, she would give him hell,” Rothermel told Us Weekly.
Rothermel – the latest in a long line of friends and relatives to either sell out the Gosselins or go along with their publicity-seeking strategy – also recounted a story in which Kate stormed into the office because Jon’s father failed to bring her lunch; while also detailing Kate’s lack of gratitude over the donation of a van for the family.
Isn’t this fascinating stuff?!?
We beseech you, readers: stop watching this show. For the sake of Jon and Kate’s children – as well as our sanity – it’s best if this family is kept off TV for awhile.
