by at . Comments

Shaha Mishaal Adham has been released by the Beverly Hills Police Department and cleared of any wrongdoing in the death of Scott Ruffalo as of early this morning.

Adham, 26, said through her attorney that she saw Mark Ruffalo's brother accidentally shoot himself while retrieving her keys from his place - and fled the scene.

She told police Scott Ruffalo died during a game of Russian Roulette. Shaha Mishaal Adham went to his apartment to pick up her Land Rover, which he borrowed.

We've learned there was a mystery person also present (NOT Brian Scofield, the man who was named a "person of interest' in the case) during the deadly game.

We're told after Scott shot himself, Adham bolted and called her boyfriend, Brian Scofield, who called 911. Ruffalo died yesterday after a week in critical condition.

No word if police are closing the investigation, but a rep for Mark Ruffalo released the following statement on behalf of the family, concerning the death of Scott.

"Mark Ruffalo and his family deeply appreciate the outpouring of prayers and support during this most difficult time of the passing of Scott Ruffalo, beloved son, brother and husband. The funeral service will be private. A memorial fund has been established in Scott Ruffalo's name."
