Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the First Lady of France, has been awarded $57,500 in damages after she successfully sued a fashion company for plastering its shopping bags with a 1993 nude photo of the former model.

“The unauthorized use of the image of Carla Bruni caused her moral and economic damage,” ruled a court on the French Indian Ocean island of La Reunion.

Lawyers for Bruni-Sarkozy say her monetary award will likely be given to charity.
