The insults levied at Elisabeth Hasselbeck by celebrity gossip readers are nothing compared to the venom spewed in her direction by former co-host and perennial loser, Star Jones.

“Those girls were hateful,” Jones says in the November issue of Essence magazine, in reference to the panel on The View.

The self-absorbed lawyer, who lost 160 pounds in 2003 as a result of gastric bypass surgery, also tells readers that she fell “into a depression” after the cancellation of self-titled Court TV show last year; while still expressing bitterness over her ongoing dispute with Barbara Walters (“Barbara set me up,” Jones insists).

As for Al Reyonds? “I’m not in love with him,” Jones says, unnecessarily bashing her well-meaning ex-husband.

Star wouldn’t specifically comment on her rumored relationship with chef Herb Wilson, but she did say:

“I want to fall in love again. I’m ready to love 24/7. I want happiness.”

We really hate this woman.
