Why are kids so mean?
It’s a question that Demi Lovato and Ellen DeGeneres tackle later today, when the former appears on the latter’s talk show. During the taping, the Disney singer/actress opened up about how much bullying she endured in 7th grade; so much so that home-schooling became a necessity.
“I never really understood why [I was being bullied] until looking back,” Lovato said, eventually realizing that her choice to become an actress made her a target “I had a different lifestyle then everyone else.”
Demi Lovato has at least gotten the last laugh on those that use to bully her in school.
The Camp Rock star is now planning to use her celebrity in order to assist others.
“I want to help with bullying,” she said. “Because there are girls who can’t just up and home-school and focus on their career.”
