Joel Madden & Nicole Richie: Married (Not)!

Talk about calling out celebrity gossip publications.

Joel Madden got his fans excited when he blogged Saturday: “WE DID IT!! NICOLE AND I FINALLY GOT MARRIED!! Click here for pictures!!”

He was just joking, of course — and taking a shot at lame celebrity news rag Star for falsely reporting he was planning a $2 million wedding.

Already parents of five-month-old daughter Harlow, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are not married. Yet. They are very happy together, however.

“HAHA. JUST KIDDING,” Joel Madden blogged. “So I feel really stupid even posting this, but I’ve been getting calls and texts from my family all week asking me why they weren’t invited to my wedding.”

“I guess the only answer I could give them was that I didn’t know we were having one! So I just found that Star magazine wrote some story about a 2 MILLION wedding we are having, and that’s where it came from.”

“Sooooo if you were pi$$ed at me for not inviting you or even telling you, don’t blame me, there’s nothing to worry about,” the father of Harlow wrote.

“It’s just Star magazine. How long do you think it will be before they write we called it off, or we broke up? I give them a week or two…”
