Three years after Sex and the City went off the air (to the dismay of our celebrity gossip staff writers) fans aren’t the only ones hankering for a big-screen adaptions of the hit HBO series.

Former cast members are reportedly telling Us Weekly that they can’t wait to get back on set.

“I’m hoping that we’ll be hitting the street soon in our high heels!” Kim Cattrall said.

Seconds comedian Mario Cantone, “I hope it all goes smoothly and it gets done, because I want to do it very badly.”

“I think it’s going to happen,” Cynthia Nixon says of plans for a feature film. 

But details on the flick (which sources say is still only “in development” three years after news of a movie adaptation of the Sarah Jessica Parker-driven series first surfaced) seem to be even more closely guarded than pictures of Jayden James.

For his part, Jason Lewis tells Us he is trying to be patient: “We’ll just have to wait and see.”

Is it almost time to start pouring the Cosmos? Will we soon get a chance to see Kristin Davis again on the big screen? We can only hope.

We can also hope that someone decides to make a Dancing with the Stars movie. Now that would be flat-out riveting.
