Presumably, however, the record company would prefer the former American Idol finalist alive and singing.
Indeed, after turning down a chance to be the lead singer for Fuel, Chris Daughtry has signed on with RCA Records chief Clive Davis and Idol creator Simon Fuller’s label, 19 Recordings Unlimited.
Joining him on that label are two singers you may have heard of: Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee.

Daughtry should be in good hands (or ears) with Davis. This is a man who discovered stars such as Whitney Houston and Alicia Keys.
Daughtry, meanwhile, can only hope his fans will alllwaaaays love him.
