matt: are you serious? he made the song his own, and it was an amazing arrangement! he wasn't off pitch at all! btw, what the heck is melisma? i respect the fact that you didn't appreciate david's rendition of "Imagine" (though i have no idea why), but is it really necessary to parade that thought around? if you didn't like his interpretation, why are you bothering to watch and comment on this video now, anyway? this performance touched a lot of people; me included. it hurts me to read any negative comments. :(

I don't get it. He was all over the map with that song. Off pitch and way too much melisma. I hated what he did to John Lennon's song. Its a crime.

WOW-everyone else should just go home now. When the young, long curly-haired guy got voted off a week ago, he said afterward that the song choices are limited to a select list, and even then you give them a few top choices any the show picks the one you do. If that is true, then how do you explain the fact that David Archuleta sang Imagine on a TV show at 13-that just by dumb luck he gets that song again on Idol?? I have not heard one missed note by this young man. I stopped voting after the Clay Aiken days, but I have started again. I have a 16 year old son, and I can't imagine the pride his parents are feeling (actually, I can-my kid is pretty amazing also)! WELL DONE DAVID!!!!

I absolutely love david archuletta! His voice is by far the best and there is no doubt that he's going to win the title this year. True superstar!

this guy is the winner of american idol bar none. he has the voice , he has the talent, he has it all. there is people out there that think he is gay, whatever! he is who is who he is, and that is his buisness only. I think he is a speicial person know matter what! he brings tears to my eyes when he sings, I TOTALLY LOVE HIM. HE IS AWSOME. KEEP IT UP DUDE. I CAN NOT STOP WATCHING YOU. ALSO I CAN NOT WAIT TO BUY YOUR ALBUMS! AGAIN, I LOVE IT

As Paula said it "Super Star"! This is one talented young guy and everytime I see him, I want to give him an effectionate "nuggy"! He is very likeable. I believe that he will walk away with the title this season!!!!
