Vanessa Hudgens is currently in Australia, premiering Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, posing on red carpets, showing off various dresses. Oh, and answering awkward questions about her ex.
Indeed, the actress appeared yesterday on a local news show alongside Josh Hutcherson, her co-star in the film and, yes, her ex-boyfriend. Only no one told the anchors this relationship was over, leading to an awkward exchange.
"How long have you two been going out?" one asked, as Josh and Vanessa stared blankly at each other before handling the situation very, very well.
"We're not," Hutcherson said. "We were at one point, but she broke my heart... no, I'm just kidding."

She's been hanging out with kangaroos (we presume), eating shrimp on a barbie (most likely) and posing on red carpet (definitely).

Vanessa Hudgens introduced Demi Lovato at the People's Choice Awards last night, prior to the singing coming out and underwhelming us with a performance of "Give Your Heart a Break."

Vanessa Hudgens turns 23 years old today, and it's safe to assume the young actresses might be received some well wishes from a number of male suitors.
While the star hasn't been involved in much professionally over the past few months - a rumored fashion line, but no movies or guest star appearances - she has been linked to a handful of eligible bachelors. There's been Austin Butler... Félix Rodríguez... Josh Hutcherson.
Indeed, since splitting with Zac Efron about a year ago, Hudgens has not been lacking for company.
Look for Vanessa to appear in a couple films next year, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and Gimme Shelter, the latter of which forced her to undergo an extreme makeover a couple months ago.

Austin Butler: Dating Vanessa Hudgens?
Josh Hutcherson who?!?
Following rumors that said the former High School Musical star was dating The Hunger Games hunk, Vanessa Hudgens has now been spotted getting close to 20-year old actor Austin Butler.
Butler and Hudgens were spotted Saturday night at Hollywood club Lexington Social House, where they celebrated the birthday of Jennifer Tisdale, Ashley's sister.
"They were together but in a large group," a source tells People. "They were not doing anything to show that they were really together romantically but they were definitely hanging out and having fun."
Butler is best known for starring alongside Ashley Tisdale in Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure. He and Vanessa headed to Bob's Big Boy for a late-night snack after the aforementioned party concluded.

Vanessa Hudgens to Debut Fashion Line
Vanessa Hudgens is coming out with her very own fashion line.
Details remain sparse, but the actress told E! News at last night's PopChips's Playland party for Fashion's Night Out: "We're still figuring it out, but it's definitely in the works!"
In what direction do Vanessa's fashion tastes lean? "Street chic, bohemian and wearable," she said.
Of course, it's nice just to see Hudgens wearing any clothing at all. She's definitely come a long way since a couple of unfortunate incidents that didn't involve anything wearable.

Vanessa Hudgens and Félix Rodríguez "All Over Each Other" at Recent Party, Source Says
So much for Josh Hutcherson, apparently.
A source tells Life & Style that Vanessa Hudgens got very close and cozy to rocker Félix Rodríguez (of the Swedish band the Sounds) at an after-party for the 2011 Hurley Walk the Walk National Championship at the Shorebreak Hotel on Thursday.
"Vanessa and Felix started making out!" an onlooker claims. "They were full-on kissing, touching and holding each other!"
The two reportedly downed margaritas throughout the evening, an insider said, and "were kissing for so long, they seemed like teenagers. She kept laughing and kissing him."
Hudgens split with Zac Efron in December and had most recently been seen with The Hunger Games' Hutcherson.
In a Puff: Vanessa Hudgens Confronts Cameraman Over Cigarette Pic
Vanessa Hudgens doesn't just have short hair these days. She also has a short temper, at least when it comes to paparazzi taking photos of her smoking.
The actress was snapped with a cigarette in her mouth while riding in a pal's BMW this week. She reacted by exiting the car and confronting the X17 cameraman responsible for outing this bad habit, seemingly going after his camera while he tried to drive away:
Video rolling, the photographer screamed at Hudgens to "get out of my car," while the star yelled at witnesses to help and said: "He's about to run over a man, I hope you're filming this, a-shole!"

This isn't the first time Vanessa has gotten into trouble for smoking. In the past, though, a scandal emerged not from any nicotine inhaling, but from smoking hot images of the actress naked.
Vanessa Hudgens Undergoes Extreme Hair Makeover
Vanessa Hudgens looks kind of like a soccer mom.
This is how the actress describes her new, shorter hairstyle in an interview with Access Hollywood, as the star says she chopped off her own locks for a role in Gimme Shelter, a Ron Krauss-directed movie that features the former High School Musical star as a pregnant teen forced to live on the streets.
“I miss [my hair,] believe me, I do, but there’s nothing I can do about it," Hudgens says.
