It's October 3, and for millions of Mean Girls fans the world over, that can only mean one thing - it's the day that Aaron Samuels and Cady Heron took a major step forward in their non-existent relationship!

Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan has been all over the tabloids in the 10 years since she starred in Mean Girls. While she remains in the news, her career has been in the gutter.

Celebrity power couples tend to make the most headlines, but not every star requires someone who shares the limelight when it comes to finding love.

For every Beyonce and Jay Z, or Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, there's a happy union between a celebrity and their somewhat unlikely match.

Here are 17 celebrities who ended up marrying totally normal people:

Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon married Jim Toth, a talent agent previously unknown to the public, after divorcing her first husband, actor Ryan Phillippe.

Some "normal" folks do work in the industry, of course. Reese Witherspoon (pictured) is married to agent Jim Toth, who has many celebrity clients.

Julia Roberts' husband Danny Moder is a movie and TV cameraman, but he could be sitting right next to you today and you would likely have no idea.

Tina Fey's husband Jeff Richmond may be totally unrecognizable to you, but he's a producer and composer who worked on her show among others.

Fans of cosplay, prepare to have your worlds rocked! Everyone's getting in on the fantasy dress-up action, including the actors who bring your favorite characters to life!

Steve Carell
Steve Carell voiced Gru in Despicable Me I and II. To promote the second film, Carell appeared on Ellen and did the entire segment in character.

For talk show appearances and magazine spreads, our favorite voice actors are getting into character only to be outdone by the actors who show up at Comic Con dressed like, well, um...themselves?

They're real people just like us! But dressed as... the characters they play on TV! Okay, so it's hard to explain if you think about it for too long.

Lending voice to cartoon characters is a treat for Hollywood's best and brightest, and a legitimate career path for people like Rachel FredericksonThe Biggest Loser winner.

Let's take a look at a few more voice actors we'd love to see dressed in character in the real world.

We thought that one might get your attention. Find out now!

Kim Kardashian Was...
... 14 when she first slept with a man. She admitted this to Oprah Winfrey.

Okay, fine. We'll stop trying to make fetch happen.

But we'll never stop trying to make a Mean Girls reunion happen!

Not after Amy Poehler posed for a series of selfies with Lizzy Caplan and Daniel Franzese in August... and not after Lindsay Lohan and Franzese met up in New York City in February,

And definitely not after Tina Fey and Lohan put their Burn Book differences aside and posed for an unexpected self-portrait this week.

"Lovely running into an inspiring, funny, beautiful old friend!!!! #tinafey" Lohan wrote as a caption to this Instagram image today.

What's in a name? As it turns out, maybe everything.

Since Shakespeare first posited the question in Romeo and Juliet, actors have been using fake names to land professional roles. Not only did it allow them some semblance of privacy before the dawn of Wikipedia, but let's face it, some people just aren't born with great names.

Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor? Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta? Quite a mouthful.

If an actor or musician's entire career is dedicated to being someone else - a character or personality, perhaps - then a good stage name can go a long way to making that career explode.

More celebrities use pseudonyms than you might think. In fact, here are 67 stars who don't use their real names. Which ones did you know before viewing this gallery?

Lorde
Musical sensation Lorde was given the name Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor at birth. We'd probably go with Lorde, too.

Not all couples can be Brangelina or Bennifer.

Heck, most couples can't be Brangelina or Bennifer.

It's rare for two sides of a pairing to be equal in terms of hotness, but some mismatched twosomes stand out more than others.

Did you know that neither James Bond nor Wolverine are married to supermodels, for example?

So, in our continuing series of surprising celebrity couples, we present 9 stars who definitely married down in the looks department. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Usher and Tameka Foster
Usher fans felt he settled when he married Tameka Foster. With the passage of time and a divorce under the belt, he might agree.

With today being the tenth anniversary for the release of the high school cult classic Mean Girls, we thought it would be a good time to check in on what the cast of the iconic film is up to a decade later.

Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan has been all over the tabloids in the 10 years since she starred in Mean Girls. While she remains in the news, her career has been in the gutter.

While all the principal cast members are still working actors with varying degrees of success, boy did they choose some different paths with regard to their lives and careers!

Obviously Lindsay Lohan remains a tabloid mainstay ten years later with new reports of bad behavior seemingly surfacing every day. (Today's nugget: Lindsay is banging a married man!)

Conversely, Amanda Seyfried has avoided Hollywood excess and carved out a successful career for herself, at one point even stealing a part that was planned for Lindsay in the film Lovelace.

Amanda is dating actor Justin Long these days and she's earned a reputation as a reliable actress and down-to-earth star.

As he announced on last night's Late Show, David Letterman is retiring in 2015 which gives CBS execs just a few months to secure a replacement for the beloved host. No mean feat, given the high stakes in the late night ratings battle and giant shoes Dave's successor will need to fill.

Jon Stewart Image
Jon Stewart hosts The Daily Show on Comedy Central. Some believe the comedian is a contender to replace David Letterman on CBS' The Late Show.

So who should the network choose to fill such an important role? Well, the race is wide open with several late night hosts up for contact renewal within the next year. Check out the gallery above for some of the frontrunners.

Big names like Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert may find themselves competing with lesser-known basic cable stalwarts like Bravo's Andy Cohen.

Dark horse candidates like Chelsea Handler could bring an all new audience to the CBS late night lineup, but the network execs (typically not adventurous types) may choose to play it safe by promoting Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson.

Tina Fey has gone on record saying that the Mean Girls reunion people are buzzing about is not happening, no matter what Lindsay Lohan tells you on TV.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the film's release, and LiLo mentioned on The Tonight Show that she was approached by Fey about a reunion.

But Tina told Access Hollywood: "I said to [Lindsay], 'I think someone may call us about doing some kind of reunion because next month is the anniversary.'"

"And so really... if everyone's around we might try to do some kind of like panel discussion or something. But it's not like - it's not another movie."

"At most it would be like a panel discussion with a plate of hot wings."

Tina Fey didn't completely rule out any kind of reunion for the cast, but reiterated that there definitely isn't going to be a follow up to the catty comedy.

"[There's] definitely not a movie," the film's writer said. "It's just that the anniversary is coming up, so everybody get your pink shirts. It's been 10 years."

"You can tell when you look at me it's been 10 years."
