Reese Witherspoon has been honest and apologetic since her arrest two weeks ago, saying she is so sorry and so embarrassed about what happened.

With good reason.

While there's no excusing Reese's disorderly conduct (or Jim Toth's DUI arrest), at least the star has been forthright and hasn't tried to make excuses.

Which makes it sort of okay to laugh at the dashcam video of the arrest, during which Reese told GMA she said "all kinds of crazy things" to the officer.

She wasn't kidding:

The tape, obtained from law enforcement sources and posted on TMZ, shows the arresting officer arresting Reese's husband Jim for DUI April 19.

Reese Witherspoon stopped by Good Morning America today and spoke out for the first time since her arrest for disorderly conduct.

"We went out to a restaurant in Atlanta, and we had one too many glasses of wine," the Oscar winner said of herself and husband Jim Toth.

"We thought we were fine to drive and we were absolutely not, and we are so sorry and just so embarrassed... We know better and we shouldn't have done that."

Toth was pulled over after his car was spotted by police officers, weaving in and out of traffic.

Witherspoon then took exception to how long the process was taking, exiting the vehicle multiple times even after being warned to stay put by the police.

And while the actress spoke to the magazine prior to her surprising arrest for disorderly conduct this month, at least one excerpt from the Q&A may shed some light on what the Oscar winner was thinking during the unfortunate incident.

"Ever since I had the baby, I can't remember anything. Serious, this child stole my brain," Witherspoon says of son Tennessee, who she and Jim Toth welcomed in October.

"I'm losing friendships over forgetting to get back to people," she continues. "But you can't keep up with everything. I've got a 13-year-old, a nine-year-old and a baby."

As previously reported, Witherspoon was arrested for disorderly conduct after husband Jim Toth was pulled over for drunk driving and she took exception to the hassle of such an ordeal.

In the wake of her arrest Friday on charges of disorderly conduct, Reese Witherspoon has sort of gone into hiding.

The actress walked the red carpet of Sunday night's Mud premiere in Los Angeles (below), but she arrived late and did not give any interviews.

She then canceled an appearance yesterday on Good Morning America and also backed out of tonight's scheduled interview with Jimmy Fallon.

Witherspoon has since apologized for the incident, while some say husband Jim Toth - who registered a .139 on a field sobriety test and was booked for DUI - may even enter rehab.

It's unclear when the public will next see this Oscar winner, but she is due in court on May 22.

On early Friday morning, Reese Witherspoon was arrested for disorderly conduct after husband Jim Toth was stopped for drunk driving and she disobeyed officer directives to remain in her car.

Soon afterward, the actress apologized, making it clear she was both remorseful and embarrassed over the incident.

And a source now says Toth feels the same way.

The CAA agent "feels awful that he involved Reese in the situation," an insider tells People. "He made a bad decision and it certainly made things worse that he dragged her into it.

Following Reese Witherspoon's arrest for disorderly conduct Friday in Atlanta, the actress has released a statement that addresses the unfortunately ordeal.

“Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now,” it reads. “But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said.

"It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I’m very sorry for my behavior.”

Reese Witherspoon acted like anything but America's Sweetheart to police in Atlanta early Friday, as both the actress and husband Jim Toth were arrested during a traffic stop.

Sources tell TMZ officers pulled over the couple's Ford Fusion because it was weaving in and out of lanes.

As the cops spoke to Jim, Reese played the fame card, reportedly, telling them: "You're about to find out who I am ... You are going to be on national news."
