Doug Hutchison was a random, semi-famous actor for most of his career. He's best known for roles in The Green Mile and Lost. So, what is...

When Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got together, we gave them our best side-eye, but it didn't seem that far-fetched that people so in love with themselves and attention would gravitate toward each other.

Not so with some of the other big couples in Hollywood, particularly those of the May-December varieties where the age gap is so great one could be the other's parent.

Then there are those pairings that inspire the public collectively asking "what could they POSSIBLY have in common?" Besides fame, that is. (And likely an affinity for kink.)

Some of Hollywood's best and brightest change significant others like normal people change underwear, so it's no surprise that some couplings are pretty bizarre.

Nevertheless, here are 17 weird celebrity couples we can't even believe:

Before becoming Ashton Kutcher's Baby Mama, Mila Kunis dated Macaulay Culkin...for EIGHT YEARS. Speaking of Ashton...

And speaking of those (sometimes) fleeting May-December romances, check out our gallery of some celebrity couples with big age differences between them.

Courtney Stodden married Doug Hutchison when she was 16, making instant tabloid celebrities of both Courtney and her then-51-year-old "acting coach," Doug.

Not surprisingly, the marriage didn't last long and Courtney and Doug got divorced in 2013

In an interview for a special called THS Reality Ex Wives, Courtney opens up about her short-lived marriage and her first sexual experience, as a teenage bride.

The clip above features Courtney describing she and Doug's quickie wedding in Vegas, but never explains why they were in such a hurry to get hitched.

Popular opinion continues to be that the made-for-TV couple wanted to maximize public interest by tying the knot while Courtney was very young and had only just met Doug.

Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison are pretty much only famous for their bizarre marriage, and since Courtney's naked photos haven't brought her the kind of attention she was hoping for, it makes sense that Courtney and Doug are now back together.

Courtney and Doug split up in November of last year following a two-year marriage that shocked the world.

Hutchison was 51 when her married a then-16-year-old Courtney with the permission of her parents. The nuptials briefly captured the attention of the tabloids, but try as they might, the former actor and aspiring singer were unable to parlay their notoriety into a reality show deal.

After brief appearances on series like Vh1's Couples Therapy the couple came to terms with the fact that their bid for reality fame had failed and decided to go their separate ways.

Now just a few months after their separation, however, Courtney and Doug have been spotted spending a lot of time together and recently stopped to chat with fans while hiking in Southern California.

Courtney Stodden may soon be going down on some male porn stars as the result of a deal with Vivid Entertainment...

... but the busty blonde is not feeling down about her split from Dough Hutchison.

A few days after the couple announced their (totally shocking!) separation, Stodden sat down with E! News and tried to explain what happened.

See, Courtney could not longer "neglect" her "desires" to be independent, causing the relationship to be a source of stress in her life.

“I am happy and I am excited,” Stodden says of being single. “I feel like a little girl again, just being able to start over.

"At 16, I got my marriage license instead of my driver’s license… come on!”

The stunning rumor is now a reality.

It is all over for Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison.

The couple, who made nauseating headlines in 2011 when they got married despite a 35-year age difference, have released a joint statement in which they confirm their separation.

"After two and a half years of marriage, Courtney and Doug have decided to become legally separated," the pair said, via The Daily Mail. "Courtney was married at a young age. Now, at nineteen, she's interested in exploring life as an unmarried single young adult -- with the freedom to explore her independence."

Phew. We can all exhale.

Courtney Stodden is not ready to be a mother.

Courtney Stodden on Couples Therapy

The 18-year old admitted as much to E! News yesterday, saying ancient husband Doug Hutchison "wanted a baby," but she has other plans at the moment.

"I'm not against kids," Stodden says. "But my career is my baby...And when I'm ready to share that, we'll discuss."

That career at the moment involves a starring role on... VH1's Couples Therapy.

The new season of Couples Therapy debuted on VH1 Wednesday.

And if you were intelligent enough to watch the Presidential Debate (or ANYthing else) instead of this scripted nonsense, allow us to rundown the impact made by Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison on the program.

Of her 52-year old husband, the new 18-year old said:

"I call him 'Dad' instead of 'Doug' sometimes," to which Hutchison replied: "See, this is the thing ... I'm raising my wife!"

Courtney Stodden is 17 and husband Doug Hutchison is 52. Clearly, these two are in need of couples therapy.

Instead, they have signed up for Couples Therapy.

TMZ confirms that the attention-starved duo will appear on the new season of this VH1 reality show, as the two have supposedly admitted there are "obvious problems in their relationship because of their age difference and the notoriety they've gotten because of their relationship."

Translation: we couldn't get our own reality show.

Courtney and Doug will join four other pairings - including Alex McCord and Simon Van Kempen - on a series that pretends to provide actual advice for the suffering couples featuring on it. Filming on the new season is already underway.

Will you tune in? Or, better question: How much would you pay to never have to tune in?

We hope you are sitting down, readers. Because the following news is legitimately shocking.

Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison have turned down a reality TV offer, actually declining an invitation from VH1 to appear on Relationship Rehab. No, seriously. They said no.

Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison Strike Pose

"Though Doug and Courtney considered the offer, in the end they felt that this wasn't a perfect fit for the kind of show they wanted to do," an insider told Radar Online.

Relationship Rehab will follow around various couples and provide them with therapists and counseling sessions, which is a significant reason - according to this source - why the pair chose not to appear. Their relationship is supposedly just fine.

"There has been a lot of speculation about their marriage and a lot of people are just waiting for the inevitable train wreck to happen, but Doug and Courtney have an incredibly strong relationship and seem very happy together," the source said. "So doing a show about going into 'rehab' just doesn't make sense for them."

Guess that makes sense. Stodden's life does rule, after all.
