David Cook was crowned the winner of American Idol, season seven. He was favorite throughout the competition, as the rocker was admittedly inspired by Chris Daughtry. He hopes to equal that star's success on the show and in his follow-up career.
Cook auditioned in Omaha and sang "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi. He worked as a bartender before making it big on stage.
He released his debut album on November 18, 2008 and is dating former American Idol finalist Kimberly Caldwell. They make for a very cute couple.

I think that David Cook is the best Idol of all, I never voted before but this year he was such a standout I just had to get involved.
I also think that this year's talent was incredable

A belated bday greeting a MerryXmas and a happy and healthy new year as well.It is going to be a bummer watching Idol next season without you performing every week. I remember last may when we were in Destin Fla I still made sure I saw you because it was the last two performances before the Idol Finale. Advice for you and Kimberly,have fun but if you two already to take thenext step don't wait too long.Although the holidays a romantic time for engagements do not rush if you too aren't quite ready.I would likee it to eventually happen. It is so cute to see a romance to come out of Idol. You two enjoe each other during the holidays and friends and the fam as well.
