As any loyal High School Musical fan knows, Zac Efron is starring in a movie called 17 Again this summer. He’s pictured below in a scene from it, dancing with costar Leslie Mann.
He recently discussed the appeal of the plot, which centers on a man transported back to his 17-year old body:
“The idea of going back to high school as an adult is incredible…until you actually get there! It’s like this crazy twilight zone of adolescent insecurities and people trying to grow up and figure out what they want to do with their lives. It’s crazy in the movie,” Zac said.
“Nothing comes out right when you’re a teenager. You say the wrong thing. It’s a part of life. It’s a part of growing up. One of the funny parts of this movie is that every year kids change - youth culture is changing all the time. Even now, when I go back to a high school campus, it really is like a frighteningly new place!”

We don’t know for certain if the High School Musical star is gay, but a shirtless Zac Efron kissing another male is definitely bi-curious.
Which we have no problem with. People lead their own personal lives, make their own choices and shouldn’t have to defend them. No one can define love for anyone else. We respect all celebrities’ ethnic backgrounds and sexual orientations.
So if Zac Efron isn’t ready to come out just yet - and is merely giving “friend love” as one reader suggests - good for him. No one should be outed before they are ready. Do your thing, Zac, and take your time. We love you always.

We only ask because Vanessa’s boyfriend, Zac Efron, is admitting he has profound admiration for American Idol contestants such as the aforementioned pair from season seven.
“[The show] deals with regular people who really have a dream and like to perform,” the High School Musical star told MTV recently. “I have such admiration for those guys — they go literally from zero to 60 in a matter of days and they handle it like champs… I couldn’t have done that: go to the peak of your fame within a month of starting.”

Efron says in past seasons he’s gone down to watch American Idol live.
“A few years ago, I went, like, almost every week,” he says. “It’s a completely different experience live. You really get to see who is a good singer, and who can really captivate a crowd. And you can tell it’s really influential on the judges’ decisions.”
Speaking of those judges, Zac calls Paula Abdul a “sweetheart.” Perhaps Hudgens should be jealous of her instead.
