Look out, Razzie Awards. You've just made yourself a number of passionate enemies.

The ceremony that hands out trophies for what it believes to be the absolute worst in cinema has nominated Eclipse for a 2011-high nine awards. All three beloved cast members - Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner - have been recognized in their respective, insulting categories.

At least these stars can be happy they aren't Jessica Alba. In just one year, she garnered four nominations for Worst Supporting Actress.

In past years, A-listers such as Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock have been great sports. They've actually attended the Razzies (held the night prior to the Oscars) and accepted their awards.

Does this mean we'll see Stewart on stage next month, smiling for the audience as she is voted Worst Actress? We doubt it. Check out the list of major nominees below.

So close.

Eclipse came ever so close to knocking Spider-Man 2 from its top perch and establishing a new box office record for a film's first six days in release.

Alas, the third Twilight Saga installment will have to settle for a mere $175 million in domestic earnings so far.

That figure actually falls short of New Moon's opening six-day haul, as it grossed $178 million in less than a week. Still, Eclipse has set a quartet of benchmarks:

  1. Biggest midnight gross of all-time.
  2. Biggest Wednesday ever.
  3. Widest release in cinematic history.
  4. Loudest screams from fans in attendance.

Despite a mixed bag of reviews, the movie has made over $275 million worldwide.

While Toy Story 3 continues to bring in the bucks, we'd be surprised if Eclipse wasn't the highest-grossing film of the summer when all is said and done. Instead of staring each other down, Jacob and Edward should really be high-fiving in the photo above.

We loved Eclipse. We thought it was the best Twilight film so far.

But we may be alone.

Below, we've posted excerpts from a number of movie critics around the country. None of them lambasted the flick, but few were overly enthusiastic about, either. If you've seen Eclipse, we'd 'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Comment away now...

I can't pretend that the third episode instilled a fever in my blood, but it didn't leave me cold. For the first time in the series I felt I'd seen a real movie. - The Wall Street Journal

As long as these movies remain about three petulant whiners staring at each other to little effect, no rousing action sequences are going to save them from their torpor. - Las Vegas Weekly

Volturi Promo Poster

Saying that the third film in a series with two pretty weak prior entries is the best of the bunch may be faint praise, but that happens to be the case with Eclipse. - IGN

Director David Slade keeps the action brisk and the time-killing attractive ... All of which should be like a freshly opened vein for fans. - NPR

Kristen Stewart may be one of the most promising actresses of her generation or she may be trapped in amber forever as the drippy but inexplicably ultra-desirable Bella. - Detroit News

The first two movies were mediocre, but "Eclipse" represents one of the more astonishing upgrades in movie franchise history. - Richard Roeper

This is definitely the worst installment of the franchise to date.  - Chicago Reader

It appears to have embraced its own sense of camp and is consistently funny in an intentional way. For the first time, I found myself curious to see what comes next.  - TIME

Who says The Twilight Saga is all about Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner?!?

Aside from THG in our review of Eclipse, that is.

At the London premiere of this movie, none of the film's three stars showed up on the red carpet. But that didn't stop fans from camping out for a spot near the action and then screaming over Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and company.

The latter looked ravishing in a silver dress, but those in attendance have been debating whether she was more radiant than co-star Nikki Reed. This is your chance to chime in...

  • Red Carpet Reed

Who looked prettier on the red carpet?

Aside from Eclipse stars, celebrities that showed up for the event included Joe Jonas, Kelly Rowland and others. Click on the following photos for a closer look at various attendees:

Eclipse is the best Twilight Saga film to date.

Perhaps this helped the movie set a box office record early this morning, but we have a feeling it would have done quite well even without THG's glowing review.

The third film in this franchise broke the second film's record haul for midnight showings today, as Eclipse pulled in a whopping $30 million across 4,416 screens nationwide. That figure also marks the widest release of all-time, bumping Iron Man 2 down a notch.

New Moon grossed close to $300 domestically during its run, while the original Twlight topped out at $193 million. Expect Eclipse to sky-rocket past both those numbers.

Just how huge has the Twilight Saga become?

In an incident both depressing and hilarious, Elena Kagan was asked about it during her Supreme Court confirmation hearings today. As you can see below, she refrained from commenting on her affiliation with Team Jacob or Team Edward.

While The Twilight Saga may boast an impressive, deep cast, let's face it: this franchise is all about its three main stars.

For that reason, New Moon fell a bit flat, as Robert Pattinson scarcely appeared as Edward and we were left with too much of Bella sitting around and simply pondering her life. Granted, Taylor Lautner took his shirt off a lot, but here's the great news about Eclipse:

Jacob is once again topless most of the time - but he isn't the only one heating up the screen. Having been treated to a screening of Eclipse, we can confirm: it's by far the most action-packed of all three Twilight films, and it's also the best. Here's why:

Bella's internal conflict has external consequences. Jacob or Edward? Edward or Jacob? This love triangle is at the forefront of the film, but it's placed against the backdrop of a centuries-old feud between werewolves and vampires.

This is far more than typical teenage angst; this is Bella needing to make a decision, the ramifications of which will impact all the lives around her. When Jacob and Edward agree to an alliance in order to protect the girl they love, even men in the audience might stand up and cheer. It's exciting, selfless stuff.

The movie has a sense of humor. Early on, Edward says of Jacob: "Doesn't he own a shirt?" It's a cute, light-hearted wink at the audience and the pop culture phenomenon the franchise has become.

Jacob vs. Edward. Choosing a Team in this rivalry is a necessity for all fans, and Eclipse sets up more of a dichotomy than ever before. At one point, Bella complains that Edward won't "unzip before marriage." Meanwhile, Jacob simply oozes sweat and sex appeal. The former is old school, the latter... well, he's ready to pounce. These differences make Bella's dilemma all the more stark, which makes it that much more interesting to watch.

The tent scene. Trust us.

For the record, Miley Cyrus hates pop music, Glee and, of course, pants.

Now, the singer has added something else to her list of disdain. In an interview with E! News last week, the singer said: "I hate vampires."

Naturally, this led the network to speak to members of the Eclipse cast about Miley's comments and they replied as follows:

Taylor Lautner: "She doesn't need to like vampires. As long as she likes werewolves, we're cool."

Peter Facinelli: "I'm not necessarily a huge vampire fan, but I do love the books that Stephenie Meyer created. I love that you don't see fangs. It's not a horror movie by any means."

Miley in Nashville

Elizabeth Reaser: "I've always been a fan of vampires since I was a little girl. I loved all the Anne Rice books. Maybe Miley's resisting. Maybe they're so popular now that it's annoying or she's sick of seeing us."

Kellan Lutz: "She hasn't met me then. I would change her opinion on that, I'm sure. I have my ways."

Ashley Greene: "That's so unfortunate because I love her new songs... I'm going to sit Miley down and force her to watch Twilight."

At last night's Hollywood premiere of Eclipse...

... Robert Pattinson faced off against Taylor Lautner for the title of Hottest Star.

... Kellan Lutz went up against Peter Facinelli.

... Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed engaged in a pretty-off.

... And Kristen Stewart wore an ugly dress.

But there were many other sightings on the red carpet, including Kellan Lutz's girlfriend; Kellan Lutz's underwear; a famous baseball player; and so many Kardashian sisters we may have lost count.

Sort through the photos below from the event and determine the best and worst dressed. First, though, ogle Robert, Kristen and Taylor some more:

It's the most famous scene in Eclipse, perhaps even in the entire Twilight Saga: Bella, Edward and Jacob all end up in a single tent, as the former snuggles up to the latter and...

... we don't wanna ruin it for anyone that hasn't read the book.

But Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart sat down with the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly and discussed putting these words on screen.

Shooting the scene took two days, Lautner said, referring to it as "my favorite, because it’s the first time Edward and Jacob are actually able to connect and understand each other."

Double Hotness

Pattinson describes the final outcome as "erotic," with Stewart explaining why:

"In the book there’s a serious sexual tension. As I’m sleeping, Jacob is staring over my vulnerable body, and he’s naked in this f- - -ing sleeping bag because you heat up faster that way, and Jacob and Edward are leveling with each other.

From there, the pair exhibited the kind of chemistry that has helped make the Twilight Saga so huge - and, let's face it, has made Rob and Kristen a couple, even if they won't admit it.

This is the exchange that concluded this excerpt from the interview:

Pattinson: I can’t really get over the fact that the word thought sounds like fart.
Stewart: The word thought does not sound like fart.
Pattinson: It does.
Stewart: Maybe because you are an English person.
Pattinson: The opening line of that scene is “Can you at least keep your farts to yourself?” I couldn’t quite get over that.

Sigh. We just love this pair, don't you?
