The Fifty Shades of Grey trailer earned a harsh rebuke by the PTC, which decried the sexual violence and mommy porn-packed teaser, but serious BDSM enthusiasts?
They’re wondering where the good stuff is!
While the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer gave us some glimpses of Christian Grey working Anastasia Steele like his personal plaything, it’s still amateur hour to some.
Red Room of Pain? More like Red Room of Shame … at least according to the Threshold Society, a BDSM/leather club in L.A. whose members were unimpressed.
Threshold members say there are tons of other books and movies that better reflect their lifestyle, and one of them quoted by TMZ actually called 50 Shades “vanilla.”
The group’s secretary, who must have a very interesting role, says Christian Grey might want to employ more of their specialties in the BDSM world.
Among popular BDSM (bondage, discipline, sadism, masochism) themes: Caning, needle and fire play … on top of the standard whips, chains and ropes, obviously.
50 Shades of Grey isn’t a total bust in this regard, however.
At Hollywood’s Bar Sinister, a night spot which specializes in such things, more middle-aged couples are lining up for their loft area, say insiders.
