The Real Housewives of New York City Season 6 certainly went out with a bang Tuesday, as the Bravo show saved its most memorable moment for last:
Aviva. Threw. Her. Leg.
Having been more or less absent from the show for weeks, the cast member returned for The Real Housewives of New York City Season 6 finale.
And then some.
Aviva Drescher's repeated absences, and allegations of faking medical conditions to bail on events, became a tense topic of discussion at dinner.
Whipping out her x-rays and doctor's notes, which every normal person carries around with them, did little to appease Aviva's chorus of critics.
With Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, LuAnn de Lesseps, Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson and Kristen Taekman all ganging up on her, the gloves came off.
Or the leg, as it were.
"Let me tell you something ... the only thing that is artificial, or fake about me," Aviva said, slamming her prosthetic limb on the table to the horror of the cast.
"I'm sick of you all accusing me. Everything else is real. Everything else. Everything else is real. Everything else. I'm sick of being called fake. I'm sick of it!"
Thrusting her leg at one cast member and then tossing it across the table, Aviva suggested "Heather, here, why don't you take this, I'll crawl home."
Reactions to this display, from the housewives as well as bystanders, ranged from laughter to expletives and silent shock. What else can one do?
The burning question: Will this hasten producers' decision to fire Aviva Drescher, or make it impossible for them to do so in the wake of such drama?
Also: Where does this one-legged meltdown rank among the best Real Housewives feuds (and more broadly, reality TV fights) of all time?
