Sarah Palin is going from standing up for TV stars (she's on Team Phil Robertson) to being a TV star herself.
The former Vice Presidential candidate appeared this morning at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in promotion of "Amazing America with Sarah Palin," which premieres April 3 on the Sportsman Channel.
"It's gonna be huge and it's gonna be fun," Palin told reporters, explaining that the series will follow her and other family members around the country.
They'll hunt. They'll fish. They'll ride snowmobiles. And she hopes they'll set an example to others around the nation.
"I want young women to be inspired by the show that we're going to put together," said Palin. "One of the reasons is because I think this world would be better off having more young women holding a fish in a picture and fewer of them holding their camera in front of a bathroom mirror doing a selfie."
Whoa there! Did Sarah Palin just call out Kim Kardashian? We may be coming around on her after all.
Palin also said she's "more excited" about this project than has been about many others she's pursued since quitting her job as Alaska Governor.
Why? Because of the red, white and blue, people!
"What our show is gonna do is highlight people, places and things that can embrace and inspire that American spirit that we need more of," Palin says. "It's not going to be some kind of fake, scripted reality show."
And now a slam of Keeping Up with the Kardashians?!? Sarah Palin for President!
