The man behind the surprise engagement of Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson is Romain Dauriac, who has been together with her for about 10 months.
Very little is known about the man, especially by modern standards.
News that Scarlett Johansson is engaged to Romain Dauriac led to a deluge of media coverage and Tweets from fans, many of whom asked, "who?"
The French journalist is quiet on social media, having not Tweeted from his account in three years. That's more than Scarlett, who doesn't even have one.
Clearly, this is the rare celebrity couple who values privacy.
Romain Dauriac is currently a manager at a creative agency and was a former editor at urban art magazine Clark, showcasing his creative side.
It's not clear how they even met.
Reports indicate that the two were possibly (not even definitely) introduced by mutual friend Fuzi, a tattoo artist who has inked Johansson in the past.
Whenever and however they met, the couple went public with their relationship at the November 2012 premiere of Johansson's movie Hitchcock.
Dauriac is clearly not the jealous or controlling type, because ScarJo has made it clear that those traits are not tolerated when it comes to her love life.
"I don't like jealous behavior," she told Marie Claire. "I don't mind an occasional check-in, but when somebody is passive aggressively jealous, it's really unattractive."
"Oh, controlling behavior is awful. Nobody's going to love that."
We have some clues about Dauriac's music taste from past tweets: "a Monday morning with Jay Reatard" and "Slick Rick, the best rapper ever?"
Prior to meeting Romain, Scarlett was married to Hollywood heart throb Ryan Reynolds from 2008-2010, then dated Sean Penn and Nate Naylor.
Congratulations to the soon-to-be-newlyweds!
