Kym Johnson Leaving Dancing With the Stars (For One Season)

by at . Comments

Australian beauty Kym Johnson will not take to the parquet on Dancing With the Stars this season, but will return in the spring, ABC has confirmed.

Season 17 of Dancing With the Stars (which premieres Monday, September 16) will not feature Johnson, who is working on a project in her native country.

When the show returns for Season 18 in Spring 2014, she'll be there.

Aside from technical prowess and killer legs, Johnson, 37, is known for the regal presence she often effortlessly lends to the traditional ballroom routines.

Her endlessly kind and patient demeanor in her dealings with celebrity partners has also made her a fan favorite since she joined DWTS in Season 3.

She has won twice, with Donny Osmond and Hines Ward.
