Marisa Zanuck will not return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills next season.

How come?

“I wasn’t asked back,” Zanuck tells Celebuzz. “It’s as simple as that and I’m OK with it.”

With Lisa Rinna rumored to be joining the cast, and with Kyle Richards pushing for Taylor Armstrong to return, Zanuck says she harbors no ill will toward producers:

“Housewives was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I am grateful that Bravo gave me the opportunity to step into their crazy world. I have no regrets and nothing but love for the amazing viewers that were so kind to take time out of their day and reach out to me on Twitter and comment on my blogs. We will definitely keep in touch.”

Marisa isn’t sure if she’ll appear on reality television again, concluding her thoughts with some refreshing honesty:

“Nobody is going to quit the show unless they have a spin-off because they either need the money or have a business to promote. If a housewife doesn’t fall into those two categories, then perhaps she was attracted to the show by the lure of fame and in that case won’t be giving it up anytime soon.”

No wonder she wasn’t asked back. Zanuck sounds way too normal.
