Wizards Announcer Misidentifies Buzzer-Beating Airball as Winning "DAGGER!"

This is hilarious.

At the conclusion of last night's Washington Wizards-Detroit Pistons game, small forward Trevor Ariza fired off a three-pointer from the corner.

Just as the buzzer sounded, it hit the net and the Washington announcers went crazy, screaming about the "DAGGER!" that just propelled their team to victory. There was just one problem:

The shot merely hit the net. It did not go into the net. It was an airball, the Pistons were victorious and it took the play-by-play guy an unusual amount of time to actually realize this fact. Watch for yourself:
