Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: Smuggled Through Airport Security!

Note to random employee at JFK airport: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may pose like Jesus.

But they aren't actually gods that deserve special treatment, okay?

The couple touched down in New York yesterday following a trip to Brazil, only to find themselves at the center of a TSA investigation because an airline greeter rushed them past a checkpoint in order to speed up their boarding process.

Once Kardashian and West took their seats on a flight bound for Los Angeles, they were pulled off and forced to go through security again, delaying the flight about an hour.

We actually can't make fun of Kimye for a change this time. The TSA confirms to TMZ that this was an employee error:

"An airline employee escorted the two travelers through a non-public area in order to provide expedited access to their domestic flight.

In doing so, the airline employee violated security protocols by permitting the travelers to by-pass the TSA security checkpoint. TSA officials learned of the violation and conducted a private screening of the two passengers in the area of the jetway.

The passengers were cleared to board their flight, which departed after a delay of approximately 50 minutes. TSA is actively investigating the incident."
