Duct tape. It really is good for anything, huh?
An unidentified man was bound to his seat by this useful item over the weekend, after he became enraged on a flight from Reykjavik, Iceland to New York City.
A fellow passenger actually captured the unusual (hilarious) scene and posted the photo on Facebook:
Confirmed Michael Raucheisen, a spokesman for Iceland Air:
The man's "behavior was considered to be unruly and threatening," with the individual "hitting, screaming and spitting at other passengers, while yelling profanities."
The man was arrested and transported to a local hospital after the flight touched down at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Raucheisen adds that the man was "monitored for his own safety for the duration of the flight" and that "duct tape and plastic zip ties are considered standard protocol when restraining a passenger."
