Travelers passing through Australia's Melbourne Airport Monday may have witnessed a hilariously cute and chaotic scene. A kangaroo was somehow on the loose!
Around 7 a.m., a 3-year-old eastern gray kangaroo was spotted in the parking garage, hopping around for almost two hours and giving security the slip:
Wildlife officer Manfred Zabinskas was called to catch the adorable young marsupial, who was tranquilized in order to be transported back to safety.
Zabinskas noted he had been away from his natural habitat for some time, and that the romp through the parking garage had done some damage to his feet.
Overall, however, he appears to be okay. Prior to being re-released into the wild, hopefully this week, the kangaroo will be looked at by a veterinarian.
This is the second time a kangaroo has paid a visit to Melbourne's Airport.
Last October, one made its way up to the fifth floor before being spotted.
They might want to think about hiring a bouncer. Sorry.
