Duggar Family Forms Pro-Life Coalition to Fight "Abortion Holocaust"

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of the popular TLC series 19 Kids and Counting are forming a coalition of pro-life groups to help fight against abortion.

The idea stems from their recent trip to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC; to the Duggars, abortion is itself a holocaust.

"A couple of weeks after we went to the Holocaust Museum it dawned on us that there is a holocaust taking place right here in America!" the Duggars wrote.

"More than 56 million lives have been destroyed in our country! That is over 4,000 babies being killed and 4,000 women being wounded each day!"

"We talked and prayed about what our family could do to make a difference in saving the lives of the unborn. We ended up contacting the national pro-life groups."

"We asked them to all work together and pool their incredible resources to motivate and activate many people to get involved in ending abortion in America."

The Duggars called Dan Pennell, CEO of WMtek, a Fort Pierce, Fla., based web development company, who immediately caught the vision, Jim Bob said.

Working with Jim Bob and Mathew Staver of Liberty Counsel, Dan formed the coalition of pro-life groups that has become what is now Life United.

Its partners: The Duggar family; LIFE International; L.E.A.R.N; Living Waters; Liberty Counsel; National Center for Life and Liberty; Family Research Council; The Justice Foundation.

"Life United exists not only to educate people with the reality of abortion in our generation, but to do something about it," the group said in a statement.

"Our partners have come together with their resources to create the tools that will help motivate and enable others to value and support human life."

“Americans are being forced to fund a Hitler-kind of killing machine," the group says, calling the last four decades "the 40 most bloody years in America."

"We are committed to end abortion in our lifetime. Abortion is the most senseless, inhumane form of child abuse one can imagine. It is time to restore a culture of life."

In less controversial news, check out the Duggar Family tater tot casserole recipe. Whatever you think of their politics, everyone can agree that's awesome.

I have viewed abortion as a holocaust for at least 30 years. It has been compared like that by conservative Christians since the 1980's when I pickeded abortion killing mills .

Their tater tot casserole is good, but wanting to save innocent children and desperate mothers is fantastic! May God bless them!

What a load of crock. A holocaust is people being racially and culturally segregated, starved, forced to work until they die, stripped naked in the burning cold, being experimented on while still conscious, being shot en masse and flung lie trash into giant heaping pits, and being herded - along with pregnant women and old men and tiny children and babies - into shower rooms for excruciating execution. A woman choosing to abort a fetus of her own free will is not a holocaust.

Thank you Emily Rose for being the voice of reason here.... Comparing abortion to the Holocaust is like comparing apples to hot tubs. Not even in the same ball park.

And so be available, and not just available, but be joyfully available for him. Smile and be willing to say, 'Yes, sweetie I am here for you,' NO MATTER WHAT, even though you may be exhausted and big and pregnant and you may not feel like he feels. 'I'm still here for you and I'm going to meet that need because I know it's a need for you.' - Michelle

Anyone can fix him lunch, but only one person can meet that physical need of love that he has, and you always need to be available when he calls. - Michelle Duggar on saying yes (yes, and more yes) to sex
