Spike Lee Slams Quentin Tarantino, Django Unchained as "Disrespectful"

Or any season, for that matter.
The famous director went off on the film - which stars Jamie Foxx as a freed slave who teams up with a bounty hunter to rescue his wife from an evil plantation owner - and Quentin Tarantino in a recent interview with Vibe.
"I'm not gonna see it," Lee told the magazine. "All I'm going to say is that it's disrespectful to my ancestors."
Lee then expounded via Twitter:
"American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western.It Was A Holocaust.My Ancestors Are Slaves.Stolen From Africa.I Will Honor Them."
The action movie has made a few headlines for its excessive use of the N-word, something Lee also took Tarantino to task for in 1997 after the release of Jackie Brown. Said Lee at the time:
"Let the record state that I never said that he cannot use that word - I’ve used that word in many of my films - but I think something is wrong with him."

Spike Lee needs to make a movie that is relevant and stop hating on others. He has the capacity, use it. Stop sitting on the sideline of a basketball game. Django's character depicted a character that I would have wanted to be like if I was slave. I certainly would not have waited to do something wrong and gotten beaten for it. Thank you Q for bringing this story to life.
You can find something in every moving offensive. Spike Lee has cried wolf so many times nobody listens. Care about your ancestors???????? We all have black in us? We all came from a beginning.
