Mars Curiosity Checks in on Foursquare

Safe to say that Mars Curiosity can become the mayor of any locale of its choosing.

The rover "checked in" on the social media site Foursquare this week, just in case you were curious what it's been up to. Its first post was the site's first from another planet.

Challenge issued, future visitors to Gale Crater.

Foursquare said of the event:

"NASA’s Curiosity Mars Rover checked in for the first time on Mars, marking the first Foursquare check-in on another planet (and the second ever check-in in space)!"

We're guessing Hot NASA Mohawk Guy was behind this.
